The first post…

I like suits.

The first post is always the hardest one of them all. I have no idea what this blog will shape up to be, although there are inklings about what I want to say here. You may see an entry regularly, with daily ramblings of mundane occurrences. or this may turn into a sparsely updated website for monumental occasions, complete with salient photos, poignant anecdotes, and concurrences from peripheral characters. Who knows?

I guess I should start with an “about me.” I’m Jason, 23 years old, born and raised in the quiet north suburbs of Chicago, currently residing in San Diego for at least another 8 months. UCSB educated and California seasoned. Biologist by trade, comedian by nature. I’ve had a few blogs way back in high school, one during the inception of blogger.com which is still being hosted 8 years later for some reason, and a Xanga (remember those?) for which I have hid all content out of sheer embarrassment. I’m not sure if either one of those were popular with anybody but I’d like to think they were, and for the sake of argument let’s just say lots of people cared about what I had to say.

Details on my current situation have to be spared for the time being and possibly immediate future because of the threat of some time-sensitive information leaking to the wrong people. But mark my words, all most will be revealed in due time. There’s some lingering animosity, a chip on my shoulder, and a burning desire to lash out with a cathartic zeal, but I must be restrained (for now.)

All you need to know at this point is to prepare for a smorgasbord (mmm…) of topics discussed on this nascent blog, but here is a list of my interests, including but not limited to the following topics. It’s more like something I’m thinking up off the top of my head in no particular order. You may hear from me about:

1. Sports, especially exotic sports (jai alai, speedwalking, sic bo)
2. Biology (useful for life living)
3. Food (Cooking relaxes me)
4. Spontaneous excursions
5. Music
6. Burritos.

Much more to come. Thank you for your time and attention and I hope we can have a pleasant blogging experience in the coming weeks, months, and maybe years to come.
